Twycross Zoo's Elephants Danced And Amur Leopards Stalked In The Snow

Twycross, UK - The arctic conditions came as a shock to many people but for some of the animals at Twycross Zoo it was time to have fun. The elephants enjoyed their training session with their keepers lifting legs and playing in the snow.

Amur leopards are very distinct from other leopards. Their long legs and long hair allow them to survive in cold, snowy climates, this blast of arctic weather did not deter our two males from striding outside in the cold. Amur leopards are found in the remote areas of the China-Russia border (the Amur River Valley) they also share their habitat with the Siberian Tiger.

Twycross zoo is a charity for more information please contact www.twycrosszoo.org or telephone 01827 880 250.

I think we should move on from having dolphins in captivity now - we all know this isn't good for them.

The Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is a magical place.  The flora, fauna, remoteness and beauty are exquisite.  Another interesting aspect is how the indigenous people there live.  To learn more and see photos  taken by indigenous children in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, you can visit ninosdelaamazonia.org
