Atlanta, GA - Georgia Aquarium, in partnership with Be Well Atlanta, is excited to announce the launch of “Yoga Under the Sea,” a unique experience offering guests the opportunity to attend yoga sessions against the backdrop of the world’s largest aquarium.

Atlanta’s top yoga instructors and members of the Be Well Atlanta Yoga Alliance will provide yoga instruction to adults and children in the Oceans Ballroom at the Aquarium, with views of thousands of animals including beluga whales, whale sharks, zebra sharks and the only manta ray in the U.S. Classes will be held on Sundays, beginning Feb. 8, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Sessions for Adults (15 and up) and children (3-14) will be offered simultaneously to ensure that all participants will enjoy age-appropriate experiences. This class is one of the few opportunities that provides two yoga classes to both adults and children at the same time. Seated yoga for senior citizens, sessions in Spanish and sessions for children are also available for private bookings.

“In the serene setting of the Aquarium, these classes are unlike any yoga sessions ever offered before,” said Dave Santucci, Georgia Aquarium communications vice president. “Being surrounded by the tranquility of the water and animals is the perfect relaxation environment.”

Each yoga session is $20 for members and $35 for non-members; child classes are $25 per session.  Packages are also offered that include five yoga classes, an annual Georgia Aquarium pass and a Be Well Atlanta Lifestyle Card for $145. Yoga mats will be available to rent for $3.

“In our role as health and wellness advocates, Be Well Atlanta is delighted to share this age-old practice with others in such a fabulous setting, with hopes it will bring inner peace to all that participate,” said Kimberly Hard, CEO/Founder of Be Well Atlanta.
