Twycross, UK - Twycross Zoo has the world’s most comprehensive collection of primates in the western world, and we’re “Going Ape”. This is a fantastic opportunity for children to join in the planned activity days at the Zoo on the 17th and 18th January 2009 and also again later in the year on the 26th, 28th and 30th of October in the Zoo Centre.

January is a very quiet month when many parents are looking for activities to keep their children occupied. Twycross Zoo’s Education and Conservation teams have joined forces to run five one hour activity sessions for children aged between five and twelve. The sessions will commence on the hour every hour from 11.00 am until 3.00 pm. Activities will include badge making, mask making, obstacle races, and track the ape where model apes will be hidden and the children will be encouraged to find them. At the end of every session certificates and badges will be awarded to each child.

Places are limited for these activity days, if your interested and would like to book your child on an activity day you can either contact reception on 01827 880 250 and book your spot or sign in on the day but be aware that places may not be available. The charge for the activity day will be £4.00 per child per session.
