Twycross, UK - Santa will arrive at Twycross Zoo on Saturday 22nd November 2008.
He will be meeting children in the Zoo’s Victorian Winter Wonderland Grotto every weekend before Christmas and on Monday 22nd, Tuesday 23rd December and Christmas Eve. Santa will bring his land train with him so you can ride the Christmas Express which travels right through the heart of the Zoo to the grotto located inside the Cockatoo restaurant.
After leaving the train, visitors will be welcomed to Santa’s grotto by the fragrant aroma of mulled wine and the heavenly scent of delicious mince pies. Visit the old fashioned sweet shop or have a go on the tombola and lucky dip before visiting Santa (£4.00 including present). See the children’s faces light up when they decorate an edible shortbread bauble or Christmas tree while they are waiting to see Santa. Bring your camera and capture that special moment when Santa chats to your child and gives them a special present for Christmas.
Outside the grotto there will be an area with various animals, these may include goats, chicken and a turkey for the children to see.
