An Animal Thanksgiving Will Happen At Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium November 15
Pittsburgh, PA - It’s Thanksgiving-Zoo style at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, Saturday, November 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Kodiak bears will be licking their paws savoring their Thanksgiving treats. In Kids Kingdom, the goats, sheep, llama, and camel are hoofing it up for their pumpkins. After a couple of stomps, they have made pumpkin pie! The sea lions like to get in a little bit of football as they toss and pass their pumpkins before eating! Animal Thanksgiving is part of the Zoo’s ongoing enrichment program that helps to enrich the lives of our animals, promote natural instincts, and keep the animals mentally and physically stimulated. Animal Thanksgiving is sponsored by Town Planner: Your Community Calendar. Photo credit: Paul A. Selvaggio |

I think we should move on from having dolphins in captivity now - we all know this isn't good for them.
The Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is a magical place. The flora, fauna, remoteness and beauty are exquisite. Another interesting aspect is how the indigenous people there live.
