Beerwah, Australia - The Autralia Zoo Wants to show youf that you don't have to be Steve Irwin to Make a Difference!

From Tassie to Texas - the world is standing shoulder to shoulder this Steve Irwin Day....CRIKEY! The countdown has begun for Steve Irwin Day on November 15 - an international and annual event to celebrate the extraordinary life of Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin.  From Auckland to Tassie, Dallas to Tanzania - the world is standing shoulder to shoulder this Steve Irwin Day.... The day, which will represent the many things Steve was passionate about: family, wildlife conservation and fun, is also a day where people around the world join together to raise money for Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors to help continue Steve's conservation work and the preservation of wildlife and wild places.

In New Zealand, Auckland Zoo's Conservation Officer, Peter Fraser, said a large number of staff at Auckland Zoo wanted to remember and celebrate the conservation values that Steve Irwin stood for. "There is a real feeling of admiration of the contribution to conservation that Steve achieved and our staff took the opportunity to express this and share the day with our visitors," Peter said.In Tasmania, nine year old Hobart local Nic Bonnitcha, aka Nature Nic, will also be showing his support.

Having recently come on board as an Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors Ambassador, Nature Nic is supporting the message of wildlife conservation on Steve Irwin Day.  Nature Nic has been busy coordinating a huge celebration across the state with several businesses and schools getting involved in raising funds.  "Steve Irwin has been Nic's inspiration and his belief is that we can all do simple things and that if everyone can raise a little bit of money, together we can make a huge difference to help wildlife," Nature Nic's mother, Linda, said.  Even ten year old Alex Zoller in Dallas, Texas is asking his mates to donate money to Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors, rather than give him presents for his birthday this year!  "This has been completely life transforming for him," his mother, Deniz Zoller says of his involvement with Steve Irwin Day.

Like Alex in Dallas, Nature Nic in Tasmania, and Auckland Zoo, Terri Irwin is encouraging everyone to celebrate the man that changed the world."We will be celebrating Steve's life and achievements through Steve Irwin Day on November 15. Steve left behind an extraordinary legacy, which we will make sure lives on forever.  ""Together, we can stand shoulder to shoulder to honour this remarkable man.   It is only with your help that we can achieve the vision of one man who truly made adifference," Terri said.
