Nicole Richie, Angelina Jolie and Louisville Zoo's Scotty Appear In Oct. 20 People Magazine
Louisville, KY - Nicole Richie and Angelina Jolie aren’t the only stars featured in the current October 20 issue of “People” magazine. The Louisville Zoo’s 18-month-old baby African elephant Scotty is spotlighted right alongside them in a special “Zoo Superstars” section, where Scotty garners a full-page photo and article. “This is pretty exciting,” Louisville Zoo Elephant Area Supervisor Dave Campbell said. “We definitely think Scotty is a celebrity, and now the rest of the world will think so, too!” The Louisville Zoo, a non-profit organization and state zoo of Kentucky, is dedicated to bettering the bond between people and our planet by providing excellent care for animals, a great experience for visitors, and leadership in scientific research and conservation education. The Zoo is accredited by the American Association of Museums (AAM) and by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). For more information, visit www.louisvillezoo.org.

I think we should move on from having dolphins in captivity now - we all know this isn't good for them.
The Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is a magical place. The flora, fauna, remoteness and beauty are exquisite. Another interesting aspect is how the indigenous people there live.
