Sanford, FL - You can find a merry, not so scary, Halloween event at the Central Florida Zoo. It’ll be all treats and no tricks (except the magical kind!) for your little ghost or goblin at this year’s ZOO Boo Bash, the regions most delightful way for families with young children to trick-or-treat and enjoy Halloween festivities in a safe and unique environment.
ZOO Boo Bash will delight those looking for a not-too-scary adventure the last two weekends of October - October 18, 19, 25 and 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
Everyone can enjoy the best part of Halloween: TREATS! Kids and their families will find treat stations throughout the Zoo so nobody misses a moment of trick-or-treating time! Homo-sapiens are not the only ones who deserve treats, each Sunday guests can help the Zoo Keepers make Halloween treats for the animals from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. then watch the elephants, primates, felines and vultures enthusiastically enjoy their special pumpkin treats during the “Pumpkin Stomp and Chomp” from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. each Sunday of the event.
During your visit you may encounter pumpkin pandemonium and wish to purchase a small pumpkin to take home - you may decorate it while you are here or take it home to paint.
New this year will be magic by Stupendous Stu and we invite you to join in this magical tradition of ZOO Boo Bash. His magic show takes place each Sunday at noon on the Main Stage.
Halloween activities during ZOO Boo Bash include the annual children’s costume contest each day at 1 p.m., kooky crafts, eerie animals from tarantulas to snakes, a bounce house, the Scar’etarium, and much more. You may even wish to take a ride on the “not-so-scary” haunted hay ride or Zoo guests can take a ride on the Haunted Train Ride for $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for children. And, for a small fee treat yourself or your child to a fun face painting. The fun of ZOO Boo Bash is included with paid gate admission.
ZOO Boo Bash is proudly sponsored by Winn Dixie, Atlantic Ear Nose and Throat, AT & T The Real Yellow Pages, and Learning RX.
