National Geographic Photographer, Joel Sartore will Visit the Kansas City Zoo

Kansas City, MO - Hear about the wild adventures of National Geographic Photographer, Joel Sartore, at the Kansas City Zoo’s penguin fundraiser event, Flights for Flippers on Wednesday, January 12 from 5 – 8 p.m. And, listen to a discussion on the amazing features of your favorite photo as outlined by Sartore.
Your favorite photo can be professionally complimented and critiqued by world-class National Geographic Photographer, Joel Sartore. Now through January 12, bring your favorite photo to the Zoo for display in the Zoo's Lobby. On Wednesday, January 12, Sartore will choose his favorite photos and discuss their extraordinary features. Discussion on the Young Adult/Child category photos will be from 4 - 5 p.m.; this event is free with FOTZ Membership or Zoo admission. Photos submitted by Adults will be discussed at Flights for Flippers, a 21 and older event, from 5 – 7 p.m.; event registration is required. At Flights for Flippers, enjoy wines from LMS Wine Creators, taste savory appetizers from Metro Catering, visit Nikita at the Polar Bear Passage, marvel at exclusive animal experiences and enter to win fabulous prizes.
Plus you will get to meet and learn from National Geographic Photographer, Joel Sartore. Sartore will speak about his experiences and his photography techniques. As a life-long Nebraskan, he brings a sense of humor and a mid-western work ethic to all of his National Geographic Magazine assignments. Two decades with the National Geographic Society have allowed him to cover everything from the remote Amazon rain forest to beer-drinking, mountain-racing firefighters in the United Kingdom.
