Let North Carolina Aquarium Teach You To Surf Fish

Atlantic Beach, NC - Step into the surf and reel in the big ones with the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores during the 18th annual Surf Fishing Workshop Weekend, Oct. 17-19. The workshop covers rods, reels, weights, line, tackle, knots, bait, fish identification, catch and release, cast netting, reading the surf, locating fish from the beach and caring for your catch.

The course is designed primarily for beginners. But the weekend is a great refresher for all skill levels, and provides an opportunity to ask advice from the experts.

The action culminates with a surf fishing trip to Cape Lookout National Seashore.

The course is limited to 30 participants. Participants must be at least 12 years old, and those under age 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult. The cost is $150 per person, and advance registration is required. Call 252-247-4003 for more information.
