Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens Welcomes the Gator Bowl Team Players Today
Jacksonville, FL - On Wednesday, December 30, the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens will welcome the Gator Bowl team players as they enjoy a day at the Zoo. Fans will not only get to see their favorite players, when they show their Gator Bowl PATCH, they will get a $2 discount on admission. The PATCH can be purchased at the Gator Bowl office located on the east side of Jacksonville Municipal Stadium beginning at 9 a.m. on December 30 and 31. “This is the second year that we have supported the Gator Bowl by offering the players a free day at the Zoo and participating in the Gator Bowl PATCH special discount program,” said Janet Johnson, director of guest services and marketing at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. “We hope that the players and our other guests will enjoy the special activities that will be going on during our World Animal Festival.” For over 90 years, the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens has been dedicated to inspiring the discovery and appreciation of wildlife through innovative experience in a caring environment. From the beginning in 1914, with an animal collection that consisted of only one red deer fawn, the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens has become one of the top zoos in the nation, now with more than 1,400 rare and exotic animals and over 1,000 unique plant species. The Zoo is a non-profit organization and an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums. It is open year-round, seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located on Jacksonville’s north side at 370 Zoo Parkway, one-half mile east from I-95.
