The Fish at Blackpool SEA LIFE Centre Aquarium Love Brussel Sprouts
Blackpool, UK - There were no complaints about the sprouts this Christmas from the tropical fish at Blackpool Sea Life Centre Aquarium. Entertainments supervisor and scuba diver Sam Young was practically mobbed by the colourful reef fish when he took a string of the love-‘em-or-hate-‘em greens for a dip in the mighty Ocean tank. “After a few tentative nibbles they attacked them like a school of piranhas,” said Sam. Sprouts are a very healthy supplement for many fish species, containing high levels of calcium, fibre which is good for their digestive systems plus lots of beneficial vitamin C, sulphur compounds and potassium. Sea Life retail team leader Paul Brooker, of Burlington Rd, Blackpool had grown a bumper crop of sprouts on his allotment at Cherry Tree Gardens, and having far more than he needed…took a sack-full into work. “They’ve now run out,” said Sam, “but they were so popular we’re considering adding sprouts to their diet on a more regular basis.” To view Blackpool Sea Life Centre Aquarium's web page on ZOo and Aquarium Visitor, go to: http://www.zandavisitor.com/forumtopicdetail-2069-Blackpool_SEA_LIFE_centre |

I think we should move on from having dolphins in captivity now - we all know this isn't good for them.
The Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is a magical place. The flora, fauna, remoteness and beauty are exquisite. Another interesting aspect is how the indigenous people there live.
