Start a New Christmas Tradition - Spend Christmas Eve at the Toledo Zoo
Toledo, OH - The presents are wrapped and the house is decorated, but before you settle in for a long winter’s nap, spend Christmas Eve Day at The Toledo Zoo—Lucas County residents will receive free admission to the Zoo on Thursday, December 24! ID showing proof of residency is required; The Toledo Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Stop by the Zoo on Christmas Eve, see some of our amazing animals, enjoy some of the Zoo’s famous hot chocolate, and maybe even finish up some of that last minute shopping! Christmas Eve at The Toledo Zoo is a great way to wind down from the hectic holiday season, and it might be the start of a brand new family tradition. (Please note that the Lights Before Christmas is not open on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.) As the holiday season wraps up, The Toledo Zoo is just getting warmed up! Lights Before Christmas will be Santa’s headquarters through Wednesday, December 23. Then be sure and ring in 2010 at Noon Year’s Eve, December 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Zoo’s Main Plaza. Noon Year’s Eve is a family-friendly celebration featuring a traditional Ball Drop, plus crafts, activities and more! The Zoo also invites folks to come dig the cool during the season known as Frozentoesen, going on throughout January and February. The Toledo Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve) and is located on the Anthony Wayne Trail (US 25), four miles south of downtown Toledo.
