It is Peak Summer Season Down Under for Melbourne Aquarium's Penguins
Melbourne, Australia - Melbourne’s coolest attraction is set for a BIG SUMMER with amazing new animals, two awesome experiences and a massive 10th birthday celebration! The amazing adventure starts with a Chill out in Antarctica – providing face-to-face experiences and magic moments with majestic King and cheeky Gentoo penguins. See them splash in the pool and walk beside them as they slide across the snow covered ice. Dive deep into the awe-inspiring Australian oceans as your journey continues in Sharks Alive. Be among the first to see our fearsome new Sandbar Whaler sharks, as well as the world’s only aquarium-housed Speartooth shark and the sharp-nosed Sawfish in the Freshwater Lagoon. The excitement continues as Melbourne Aquarium celebrates its 10th birthday on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 January. Melbourne Aquarium turns 10 and we will be partying all weekend with special activities and entertainment for all visitors. With activities for the kids, extended opening hours until 9.00pm between 1 and 26 January, including the thrilling new twilight Dive Feed at 6pm, Melbourne Aquarium is the coolest attraction this summer! The Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is a magical place. The flora, fauna, remoteness and beauty are exquisite. Another interesting aspect is how the indigenous people there live.
