A Gorilla Size Big Birthday Bash at Franklin Park Zoo

Boston, MA - Mom, Kiki, and her daughter, Kira, will celebrate their August birthdays together during a special birthday party at Franklin Park Zoo (Kira’s 10th birthday is August 8 and Kiki’s 28th birthday is August 23). Zoo visitors will enjoy complimentary banana-themed treats donated from Konditor Meister Bakery in Braintree and Green Hills Traditional Irish Bakery in Dorchester. Moms, daughters and their entire family are welcome!

Visit the Tropical Forest to see the gorilla exhibit festively decorated and watch as Kiki and Kira enjoy birthday treats made especially for them! The decorations and special gorilla treats are generously donated by volunteers. Additionally, visitors can learn more about gorillas at a special education station set up inside the Tropical Forest.

WHEN: Saturday, August 15, 2009, 11:00AM

TICKETS: Event is free with regular paid admission

Franklin Park Zoo Admission: $13.00 for adults; $10.00 for seniors (62+); $7.00 for children (2-12); Children under 2 are free.

The Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is a magical place.  The flora, fauna, remoteness and beauty are exquisite.  Another interesting aspect is how the indigenous people there live.  To learn more and see photos  taken by indigenous children in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, you can visit ninosdelaamazonia.org
