Some Very Weird and Unique Animals on Display at Twycross Zoo During Darwin Week
Atherstone, UK - Did you know that it is 200 years since the birth of Charles Darwin? Twycross Zoo will be celebrating Darwin Week from Monday 17th of August to Friday 21st of August 2009; this week will be full of fun activities and exhibitions which will focus on Darwin’s theory of evolution. Everyone can get involved by completing our Darwin trail; this will include a voyage around Twycross Zoo spotting a range of animals that Charles Darwin might have seen during his voyage on the Beagle. The trail is available from the Information Centre for just 50p. All profits to go to Twycross Zoo’s Conservation work. You can also visit the Zoo Centre to discover more about this inspirational but still often controversial idea. Watch the Future is Wild; a TV series inspired by the theory of evolution which predicts what animals could evolve into in the future. You can make a Darwin beard to wear and learn about the man behind the theory. Join Twycross Zoo to make Darwin 200 a memorable year.
