Cleveland, OH - Seniors can enjoy Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for free during Senior Safari on Friday, August 28. Everyone 55 and older receives complimentary admission to the Zoo and The RainForest that day.

Senior Safari is packed with activities that will make you feel like a kid again. Those in attendance will enjoy Meet-the-Keeper programs, short walking tours of the African Savanna and the Primate, Cat & Aquatics Building, live animal shows and theater performances.

The Zoo is your one-stop shop for a healthy, active senior lifestyle. Don’t miss the “Health & Wellness Neighborhood” in the Palava Hut Pavilion where over 50 exhibitors will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop by the Discount Drug Mart area for blood pressure and blood glucose testing. Also, Healthway’s SilverSneakers will be demonstrating yoga and strength training classes.

Plus, seniors can check out the Zoo’s wildly popular DINOSAURS! exhibit free of charge. Eighteen life-size robotic monsters roar to life along the shores of Waterfowl Lake. Also, learn about the origins of these prehistoric beasts by visiting with a vertebrate paleontology technician from the Cleveland Museum of Natural History and visit “Hugene,” a gigantic inflatable dinosaur.

Northeast Ohio’s most-visited year-round attraction, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $10 per person, $7 for kids ages 2 to 11 and free for children under 2 and Zoo members. Parking is free. Located at 3900 Wildlife Way, the Zoo is easily accessible from Interstates 71, 77, 90 and 480.
