Toledo, OH - Both The Toledo Zoo and Fisher-Price have decades of experience in creating great memories for children, so it’s no surprise that they’ve joined forces! Your family won’t want to miss Fisher-Price Play Weekend, Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26 in The Toledo Zoo’s Main Plaza.

All weekend long, children from six months to five years will explore the coolest new toys, including the newest Fisher-Price Power Wheels™. And on Saturday, July 25, they’ll also have a chance to meet costumed character Dora the Explorer!

The Fisher-Price Play Space, set up in the Zoo’s Main Plaza, will give children plenty of room to try out some great new toys, including the newest Power Wheels™, battery-powered ride-on toy cars that are perfect for kids from one to seven. The Toledo Zoo is proud of its partnership with Fisher-Price, which includes Fisher-Price’s generous sponsorship of the Fisher-Price® Little People® Discovery Stage™, located inside Nature’s Neighborhood, the Zoo’s new year-round, 100% explore-able children’s zoo!

The Toledo Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located on the Anthony Wayne Trail (US 25), four miles south of downtown Toledo. For more information, please visit www.toledozoo.org or call (419) 385-4040. Lucas County residents are admitted free of charge each Monday from 10 a.m. to noon. ID showing proof of residency is required.

The Toledo Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA). Look for the AZA logo whenever you visit a zoo or aquarium as your assurance that you are supporting a facility dedicated to providing excellent care for animals, a great experience for you, and a better future for all living things. With its more than 200 accredited members, AZA is building North America’s largest wildlife conservation movement.

The Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is a magical place.  The flora, fauna, remoteness and beauty are exquisite.  Another interesting aspect is how the indigenous people there live.  To learn more and see photos  taken by indigenous children in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, you can visit ninosdelaamazonia.org
