Pancakes and Fishing to Benefit Rio Grande Zoo
Albuquerque, NM - Join the fun at Tingley Beach on Friday, June 5, from 6:00 to 10:00am for fishing, pancakes, rockin' music and lots of prizes. This special fundraising event benefits the New Mexico BioPark Society, supporting ABQ BioPark’s Rio Grande Zoo, Botanic Garden, Albuquerque Aquarium and Tingley Beach. Participation is a bargain at these prices! Pancake Breakfast in the Train Station - $5 Fishing Derby - $5 for adults; $2 for children 12 and younger Pancake Breakfast & Fishing Derby Adult Combo Pass - $8 Lesson with fly-fishing guru Bob Gerding - $5 Adults must have an NM Fishing License; children must be accompanied by an adult. Enter the Fishing Derby for your chance to win over $500 in prizes, including fishing gear, museum and gym memberships and gift certificates at local restaurants. The New Mexico BioPark Society is holding an online auction where you can bid on some spectacular items: $1,000 Camping World Gift Certificate (Minimum Bid: $450) -4 tickets for Zoo Music -4 tickets for Summer Nights A facility of ABQ BioPark, Tingley Beach is open daily from sunrise to sunset. There is no fee to visit, however fishermen 12 and older must have a valid fishing license. The BioPark is a division of the City of Albuquerque’s Cultural Services Department.
