Titans Players, Cheerleaders, Staff and T-Rac will be at Nashville Zoo's Titan's Play 60 Event

Nashville, TN - The Tennessee Titans will team up with Nashville Zoo to host a unique day of “wild” fitness and activities for the entire family on Sunday, May 31 from 2-5 p.m. in the Zoo’s Festival Field. The Titans “Play 60” Challenge at Nashville Zoo will include low impact activities, inflatable games and football drills geared toward children ages 3-14 as part of the Titans “Play 60” efforts to promote physical fitness and sixty minutes of active play per day.

Various Titans players will be on hand to encourage kids through a series of physical drills such as obstacle courses, relay races, field goal kicking challenges and much more. The Zoo will offer animal related activity games and educational stations to illustrate how and why health and fitness are the keys to the survival of the fittest. There will be a slew of other activities and entertainment for the family including the Titans cheerleaders, T-Rac, & Twiga the Zoo’s mascot.

The event is included with Zoo admission which is $14 for adults, $9 for children (2-12) and $12 for seniors (65+). Admission is free for all Zoo members. In the event of increment weather, the event will be modified to accommodate inside activities.

The Titans “Play 60” initiative encourages youth to get at least sixty minutes of physical activity or play per day in effort to fight childhood obesity. Partnerships with local non-profit organizations, like Nashville Zoo, have enhanced this mission and opportunity to reach out to America’s youth. Since the NFL’s Play 60 inception, the NFL has committed over $100 million to youth health and fitness through programming, media time for public service announcements and grants from Titans Owner K.S. “Bud” Adams’ Jr., and his fellow NFL owners and players.
