Singapore - Celebrate Earth Day early on April 19 at Jurong Bird Park this year with a unique event – an exclusive run for children amidst nature and colourful birds. Children can enroll in Jurong Bird Park's Feather Run in two exciting run categories: Competitive Run and the Kids' Run.

“We are excited to celebrate Earth Day early this year with the inaugural Feather Run at the Bird Park. In addition to the run, we have put together a programme not only for children to enjoy and learn, but to also generate awareness about birds and nature. The run also brings children out into the open and lets them enjoy nature while keeping fit. With 8,000 birds representing 600 species around the park, the Feather Run route offers everyone an eye-opening experience and rekindles their appreciation for flora and fauna,” said Ms Fanny Lai, Group CEO, Wildlife Reserves Singapore.

The 1.2 km route will be transformed with child-friendly course markers to guide runners along the correct route and towards the finishing line. While the Competitive Run is open to children between 9 to 12 years old, the non-competitive Kids' Run is open to children from 3 to 12 years old. Exciting activities abound as the park celebrates Earth Day with a drawing competition children can participate in, and continue to enjoy nature with the Birds n Buddies Show at the Pools Amphitheatre.

Held to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth's environment, commemorating Earth Day is significant in introducing and re-establishing a connection between people and nature. Celebrate Earth Day at Jurong Bird Park and register a spot for your child for the inaugural Feather Run. Revel in the serenity of Jurong Bird Park's 20.2-hectare hillside haven.

Registration Details: Registration is now open. Registration for a minor must be made by parents or guardians. Parents can register their ward in either one of two race categories: Competitive Run and Kids' Run. Discounted Bird Park admission charges will apply.
