Jack Hanna Will Not Be Appearing on American Idol, But You Can See Him At Potter Park Zoo
Lansing, MI - The Potter Park Zoo welcomes famed animal expert Jungle Jack Hanna and his critter comrades for a special presentation on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. The one-hour live show will feature many of Jack’s favorite animal friends, as well as stories from his adventures around the world. The presentation will focus on the important role of zoos in animal conservation. Recognized around the country as America’s favorite zookeeper, Jack Hanna has made countless television appearances since 1983 on shows such as Good Morning America, CNN’s Larry King Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Fox News Programs, and the Late Show with David Letterman. Jack took his infectious energy to the airwaves by creating two of his own nationally syndicated television programs Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures and most recently Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild. Into the Wild is unscripted and action-packed as Jack and his family explore the corners of the globe and discover amazing animals and cultures. In its first season, Into the Wild won an Emmy for Outstanding Children’s Series. The author of ten books - and counting, his timeless tales continue to captivate audiences of every generation. In September 2008, Jack released his new autobiography, Jack Hanna: My Wild Life. He also has recently released the newest book in his children’s series, Passport Into the Wild. This book allows readers to travel by Jack’s side across all seven continents to explore fascinating cultures and animals. Guests are encouraged to come early. Jack will be signing autographs before the show at approximately 4:45 p.m. Copies of his books will be available for purchase at the event. The event is open to the public.
