Twycross Zoo Provides an Enrichment Area for Visitors
Twycross, UK - There are exciting changes this Easter at Twycross Zoo. A new naturalistic and themed entrance welcomes all visitors to our wonderful children’s area. Check out the numerous quirky animal caricatures at the pay booths. The new entrance design takes inspiration from the sculptor Andy Goldsworthy and Clinton Banbury, Twycross Zoo’s design consultant, produced the illustrations which are an interpretation of many of the animals at Twycross Zoo. The exciting play area dedicated to younger children includes a seven metre high space net and a zip line. Children will have great fun when they climb to the top of the space net and watch the gibbons at play. For the under 5’s there is the new Lilliput Fort with a combination of tunnels, slides, ropewalks and swing bridges and giant xylophones for all those young budding musicians. Join in the amazing fun on the little explorers’ rides. Have you ever panned for gold and found that golden nugget? Well you now have the opportunity to see your child’s face light up when they play in the water and sieve to find treasure. Children can also ride on the pirate ship, Zebra ride and all the family can enjoy a relaxing ride on the 1897 authentic carousel.
When you are in need of a rest and some delicious refreshments call in the new Anty’s kitchen for a well deserved waffle, pizza, hotdog or drink. This is a wonderful refurbished restaurant that gives the illusion you are as tiny as an ant. Before you visit the rest of the Zoo, take a moment to watch the display of leaf cutter ants, these will keep the children amused for hours.
