Akron Zoo Will Exhibit The Easter Bunny
Akron, OH - The Akron Zoo will hold their annual Breakfast with the Bunny event on April 4, 5 and 11, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. The event includes breakfast, a visit from the Bunny and an outdoor egg hunt. Reservations are required and space is limited. Breakfast with the Bunny is held in the zoo’s Komodo Kingdom Education Center. Upon arriving at the zoo, guests are served breakfast, provided by Country Diner. Visitors can also visit with a costumed bunny, “Peter Cottontail” and get pictures taken. At 10:30 a.m. kids are invited to participate in an egg hunt in the zoo’s Legends of the Wild. Every child that participates in the hunt will receive a goodie bag. There are special golden eggs hidden within each hunt which contain a special prize. After the event, families are invited to enjoy the zoo on their own. Reservations can be made by calling (330) 375-2550 or online at www.akronzoo.org Prices for this special program are $14 for Akron Zoo member adults, $16 for Akron Zoo member children, $19 for non-member adults and $21 for non-member children. Price includes admission to the zoo following the event. Breakfast with the Bunny is sponsored by Country Diner. The Akron Zoo, which is home to over 700 animals from around the world, is open 361 days a year. Winter hours are 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily. Admission is $6.00 per person and parking is $2.00. The Akron Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). I think we should move on from having dolphins in captivity now - we all know this isn't good for them.
