CrocTalk is a six year old partnership, based in the city of Kelowna, B.C., which specializes in conservation and education, through its focus on crocodilians, African wild cats, and tortoises. The partners provide on-site and off-site educational Croc Talks for birthday parties, family outings, community functions, schools, trade fairs, fund raisers and other special events. The interactive presentations are provided year-round, for a fee based on location, group size, type of event and unique factors. Since its inception in 2002, many thousands of people have been educated through this one-of-a-kind learning program. Central attractions of Croc Talks are 22 crocodilians, two African wild cats, tortoises, and other crocodilian-related animals. The partners also own a replicated skull display of the worlds largest crocodile, the 110 million year old Sarcosuchus Imperator, also known as, SuperCroc; it is the only one in Canada and is one of few world-wide. They also own a replica of the largest crocodile skull ever to be found in one piece, called Gavialosuchus. The ultimate goal of Mr. Illman and Ms. Bruce is to establish a permanent facility, and to grow the CrocTalk into a world-class destination facility that provides a unique visitor experience based on conservation through education, while offering an entertaining environment that will attract local, national and international tourists and their families.
