CroZoo's animal education facility encompasses approximately 4,000 square feet of exhibited animals . Our species list is constantly growing, and at present is probably close to a hundred different amphibians, invertebrates, mammals and reptiles! The total number of animals easily reaches into the hundreds. Most of the animals represented have been carefully chosen (when applicable) to illustrate important unique attributes or characteristics of specific ecosystems or species. We are currently under going renovations in preparation for the upcoming Summer season. Please contact us for more information regarding hours of operation.
A truly one of a kind natural sciences center located in beautiful and picturesque Western New York! CroZoo is often called Buffalo's "other zoo," and exhibits mainly displaced or rescued exotics from all around the world. Many of which are housed in naturalistic enclosures giving the visitor the look and feel for the animal's "real world" environment. As a full service animal education facility, CroZoo also offers on premises educational live animal programs which are geared towards specific audiences or groups. We also provide outreach services throughout the Niagara Region at such venues as carnivals, fairs, libraries and schools (or for any occasion or venue). CroZoo is a dynamic zoological collection which doubles as a classroom with many humane and safe hands on capabilities and opportunities.
