We receive approximately 250-300 injured/orphaned birds and mammals. The purposes of the Organization are: To treat and care for native bird and mammal species that are injured, orphaned or otherwise unable to care for themselves and return them to native habitat when they are recovered. Treatment will be in accordance with high standards of practice, ethics and conduct; 2. to disseminate knowledge through meetings, reports, publication, symposia and other means; Knowledge will be shared with other Wildlife Rehabilitators as well as the General Public. To engender cooperation of professional and governmental agencies and other groups with the wildlife rehabiltitation community.

Wings of Hope Wildlife Sanctuary has the largest/Raptor flight cage in the state of Louisiana. It measures 100'L X 20'W 15"H with a 50'Ell X 20'W X15'H. which qualifies for the flight of the Bald Eagle. The sanctuary is the only graduate from Bat World Bat Boot Camp in the state of La.
