We are a 501 c3 non profit. We started in Jan. 1995. We have 25 acres. We presently have 35 horse's, 2 steers, 1 cow and 1 pot belly pig. We take in abused, neglected and unwanted horse's. Horse's that people can not longer take care of. Horse's from auctions. Horse's from animal control. We rehab and if possible place in loving, caring adoptive homes.
We provide a service to horse's of all ages and breeds. We love and care for several horse's. Our oldest horse is 37 yrs old, he lives on our mush recipe as do several other oldie but goodie horse's. They are all fat, healthy and happy. We have horsemanship/riding lessons so that people can learn about the care that horse's require, before they get a horse and have no idea what it takes to care for them. We have several programs that help the horse's and children and adults. We have horse sponsorship. We have a foster program and adoption program. We are volunteer based, no one gets paid at Safe Haven. We have several kids and adults that volunteer their time to help care for our horse's. It helps everyone...
