Welcome to Namibia, a place of quiet, uncluttered splendor and one of the world's last remaining unspoiled areas of the planet. Namibia has long been a favourite luxury tour destination for southern African families. The country boasts places very much geared for families with kiddies' programmes and an interactive beauty.

Those families who are wildlife-crazy need look no further than the teeming plains and woodlands of Etosha National Park, home to magnificent safari luxury and where amazing game viewing often involves little more than kicking back at a waterhole and letting it all come to you. The adventurous family will also desire to check out the attractions of rugged, remote Damaraland and see if they can track down the legendary desert elephants.

Amazing birding! Namibia is home to over 630 bird species. While the majority of these occur in the water-rich north-eastern regions of Okavango and Caprivi, a considerable number are found in the desert proper, such as Dune lark and Hartlaub's francolin. Birding at the coast, especially at Walvis Bay Lagoon, is a particularly rewarding experience.

With its idyllic location right on the sandy beach, Lüderitz Beach Resort encompasses a 250-hectare site including an 18-hole golf course designed by Gary Player, a 7km stretch of beach, luxury boutiques, several restaurants, a casino, a nightclub, a spa and one of the largest conference centres in the region.

Cultural tours in major cities are growing in popularity, the most celebrated being the Katutura Face-to-face Tours where tourists can get a flavour of true Namibia by shopping from crafts markets, exploring the souks and perfectly preserved medina, then get lost and found in the maze of narrow lanes.

Namibian Accommodation is comparatively rich in diversity, ranging from one- to four-star hotels, pensions, guest-farms, lodges, restaurants, rest camps, Bed & Breakfasts and Self-catering establishments. The wide variety of establishments across Namibia enable tourists to make their choices based not only on the prices or rates charged, but also on location plus added activities offered by the establishments.

Usually the charged price includes return flights with Air Namibia, private transfers from Hosea Kutako International Airport and accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis based on two sharing.

So book by 31 March 2010 for travel between 16 April and 26 June 2010 but remember that Namibia is predominantly a desert country - it gets pretty hot (and cold!) depending on the time of year so you might want to time your visit carefully.
