Food:
Indoor ocean view cafeteria and outdoor snack bar. Picnic tables are available on the Oceanic Deck and in the Plaza area.

Wheelchairs:
The park is handicapped accessible.

Visitor Rules:
No pets, radios, bikes, rollerblades or skateboards. Blind, visually impaired and hearing-impaired visitors may be accompanied by properly harnessed guide dogs. Smoking is prohibited anywhere on the grounds.

Learning about the amazing undersea world is fun at the New York Aquarium in Coney Island. Exciting, participatory “get wet” workshops have been specially designed for families with children of all ages to explore the magic and mystery of the marine world. Diversified programming will capture your interest – from art and music to science, beach walks, lectures and excursions. Reservations are required for all classes. Oceans of Fun
Dig in the sand, splash in the water, color a fish, touch live sea stars, read a story and more as you explore marine-themed stations in our classroom.
Ages:                6-18 months, with adult

Fee:                  $14 members; $22 non-members
Shark-A-Rama
Get a behind-the-scenes look at our sharks, discover the amazing adaptations of these living fossils, and make toothy crafts to take home in this parent-child workshop.

Wild About Walrus
Marvel at tusks, test how fat protects from the cold, and look at the behaviors of our walruses in this wonderful program.

The Keeper Experience
Give your child the opportunity to sneak a peak behind the scenes and find out what it’s like to be a keeper at the New York Aquarium!

Toddler Tour
Bellow like a walrus and slurp like a seahorse as you view our wonderful animals on this interactive tour.
Ages:                2-3, with adult

Family
Breakfast With the Animals
Assist our keepers by chopping and distributing food for our animals, and then enjoy your own breakfast in our classroom!
Ages:                Adults, or adults with children ages 6 and up
Session A:        Sunday, March 15, 9:00-11:00
Fee:                  $25 members; $32 non-members
Behind the Scenes Tour
Now the whole family can go behind the scenes to find out how things work at the aquarium. Peer into tanks and feed coral reef fish as you share this special experience.
Ages:                Adults with children ages 6 and up
Session:            Sunday, March 15, 1:00-2:30
Fee:                  $16 members; $24 non-members
Registration: Advance registration is required for all programs. Please contact Maria at 718-265-3448 to register by phone or request a registration form. Registration forms may also be printed from our website: www.nyaquarium.org.
Cancellations: Cancellation or rescheduling will incur a 30% handling fee. No refunds for same day cancellations. Summer programs will not be pro-rated.
