Welcome to the world of nature travel. I've been traveling for over 2 decades to some of the world's best wildlife- watching destinations as a nature tourism consultant and writer and I'd like to share some of the travel tips and experiences I've come across. I work with small communities and conservation groups as they develop wildlife viewing opportunities and community-based destinations for tourists. To learn more about my work you can visit my website at http://www.kalahari-online.com  or watch videos from some of my trips at http://youtube.com/user/carol2244

I hear some great stories and meet some wonderful tourism professionals and I'd like to share ideas with you.

I have been involved with zoos for many years and I know zoo visitors love to watch animals on their travels. I was a docent with the Calgary Zoo for several years and created a Flying Zoo outreach program, flying small animals to rural communities for educational programs. I eventually served on the Board of Trustees of the Calgary Zoological Society and was Chairman of the Board in 1997-1998. To me sustainable nature travel is an important way of supporting conservation of wildlife populations in the wild.

Cheers,
Carol Patterson
