Lovely Lita's Sheltering Tree Foundation is a squirrel rescue and rehabilitation facility. We rescue all types of squirrels. All that can be rehabilitated are released at our facility in Plant City. Any that can not be released due to permanent injury, birth defects, etc are kept and maintained for the remainder of their lives. Our Plant City facility has almost 10 acres of land with a building to house those that can not be released. We are currently caring for approximately 180 squirrels although many of those will be released in the coming months. Next squirrel season will bring those numbers back to at least the same level.
