Discover New Zealand's amazing native creatures Seahorses - tiny baby ponies we bred, to adult New Zealand pot-bellied Seahorses. Tuataras - New Zealands very rare living fossil. Two of only 400 Brothers Islands tuataras still alive. Giant squid  Monster of the deep - preserved 5 metre giant squid. Hundreds of fish native to the Sounds - sharks, crays, rays, octopus, blue cod, snapper etc. Lizards, frogs, turtles in a turtle refuge. Marine mammals display - life size Orca and Hectors Dolphin models, whaling dvd. Touch pool, kids area, shells, marine fossils, videos and many highly informative displays. We are scientists and teachers and our presentations are tailored from fun-based discovery for children, to more scientific, marine biology for adults and senior students.

All our fish and creatures are native to the Marlborough Sounds with the exception of some of the native geckos and skinks that come from other parts of New Zealand. The turtles are refugees and have been abandonned, oroginally coming from Australia and USA.
