Downtown Aquarium is an 18-acre entertainment complex located in the heart of downtown Denver with more than one million gallons of exhibit space containing more than 500 species of fish and displays with animals from all over the world. Downtown Aquarium has nine fully-themed exhibits including At the Beach, At the Wharf, Coral Lagoon, In the Desert, North American Wilderness, Rainforests of the World, Ship Wreck, Sunken Temple and Under the Sea. Several of these exhibits include interactive elements, including Sting Ray Reef, where visitors can touch and feed sting rays, and an opportunity to pan for gold in the North American Wilderness exhibit. The facility, which is accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association, showcases long-time favorites such as the Sumatran tigers in its Rainforests of the World exhibit and the otters in the North American Wilderness exhibit. In addition, Downtown Aquarium features Aquarium, a 250-seat underwater dining adventure showcasing as its centerpiece a 200,000-gallon tank full of sea life. The Dive Lounge offers the full restaurant menu.

One of the few major aquariums in the US open nightly to the public. We also offer unique immersive programs that allow our guests to experience our exhibits up close and personal. Dive with the Sharks and Swim with the Fishes attract 1000's of participants annually.
