Asian Adventure Exhibit at the Pueblo Zoo

Asian Adventure is one of the newest exhibits at the Pueblo Zoo. It houses a couple of real swingers - a pair of White-handed gibbons (Susie and Rocket) and is the new home for Solar Sue and Barney, the Zoo's famous Malayan Sun Bears. The natural setting and native Asian plant life offer a perfect place to wile away a lazy afternoon!

Malayan Sun Bears are often called "honey bears". Solar Sue, Pueblo Zoo's longtime favorite with visiting children, gives us the reason for the nickname. Her favorite enrichment is honey. The zookeepers say, "She'll take it any way she can get it!"
